Everyday Objects
36 Days of Type, an annual challenge calling designers and illustrators around the world to share their interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet, is typically quite an undertaking. The 2020 challenge was no different, and on top of it all, many participants were ordered to shelter-in-place as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic tragically spreading across the globe. For this particular challenge, I decided to throw away the idea of a theme or a specific representation for every letter that was layered with meaning and thought. I made what I felt like making and let it play out from there. It was delightful, and it was incredible to have a virtual community to interact with during the pandemic and beyond.
